A genuine mess

Pros

Glass door expects 20 words: How about you'll see new kinds of reptilian behavior, even for the desert.

Cons

I've never seen so much pettiness, backstabbing and generally twisted interactions on the part of management "professionals" in my 30+ years in professional settings. Just the worst kind of passive aggressive, slimy actions imaginable -- with no concern about fallout. The company acts like it wants to be a first-class employer, but they do little to make staff feel secure or at ease.

Pros

Benefits are decent, many individual contributors are so great to work with

Cons

Senior management is a joke. The CEO is a joke. The forced return to office is ridiculous given how awful the office is. Little work life balance.

Epic incompetence

Pros

Pay is above average ( or at least it was )

Cons

Haven't yet met anyone happy in technology side. Pay is above average but they aren't organized enough to utilize anyone to their full ability. Bought into expensive partnership with company that used a particular devops tool - didn't hire anyone with that skill-set on our side roll out the integrations. Security is on a tyrannical power trip, routinely says nothing until the end of a project then steps in an delays projects by 6-12 months. Bought super expensive enterprise thing and it doesn't meet the project requirements so we cant use it. Devops team is clueless - person A will do manual change and then person B will push an automated change that wipes out everything person A did. Over crap like this, there was a mass exodus of 30+ highly skilled tech people that all left in April.
