The honeymoon period is exciting because you have so much freedom to shape your program how you want. This is because there is no institutional knowledge keeping and plans/connections/ideas/resources/etc leave with employees roughly every 6 months. You will receive no feedback or guidance on your work, and then every few months you will be berated for not "following the plan" that never existed. Any goals you are given are incredibly unrealistic and are constantly shifting, along with your job description. As you settle in you'll start to uncover the network of burnt bridges with other organizations, and you just might get to be the scapegoat when management burns more with false promises and unmet deliverables. There is nothing that hasn't already been said in other reviews regarding culture. Toxic toxic toxic. This place makes you feel anxious, overworked, and undervalued. Don't take a job here if you can help it.
