This is a job I took with no experience/no interest in retail because I thought the environment would be different from the HUGE corporate stores. During the holiday season rules were very laid back and it was very enjoyable to go to work but after the holiday season rules started cropping up. If sales weren't being met you could get in trouble and potentially even be fired. If your ADS (amount of money per sale) was low you could get in trouble and potentially be fired. It is ridiculous and puts a lot of pressure on employees, so much so that it pits employees against each other to make sales even though what Earthbound preaches is "team selling". The company is hypocritical at best. I would be reprimanded for things that management would do, or even reprimanded for things I wasn't aware was problematic. The training I received was extremely minimal. It felt like I was set up for failure and each fellow co-worker I discussed this with felt the same way. I do not recommend working at this company if you are looking for a decent amount of training at a decent pay grade.

UPPER MANAGEMENT. With yearly re-alignments in districts, some stores are constantly tossed around. Slow mall stores and put under unrealistic pressure to perform to support the current over-growth of the company. The Seattle market also just promoted a new District-Manager, who before the promotion, was leaving the company due to being unhappy with the current direction with the company. But, now that she was offered this spot, she is totally on-board with all of their current initiatives, and she has lost her voice, and he respect of the stores beneath her.
