My store was great, but the company is terrible.
Pros
I worked there for a year and a half as a keyholder. My store was lots of fun to work in. my manager was great. some of my co workers became my best friends. i was really upset that i had to quit but i was moving out of state. i was promoted quickly and the pay for the work wasnt too bad. the hours were great. my manager worked with my schedule.
Cons
My assistant manager was the worst person i have ever met. she was rude and obnoxious and took way too much power with her job. she hated all of us and let it show and she talked about all of us, including the manager behind our backs. the dm didnt seem to care too much about what was going on in our store either. my first year there i only ever saw him once. i later found out that he was supposed to come to our store like every 4 months or so but never did. our turnover rate was so high because no one could stand working with the assistant. the goals were high and sometimes impossible to reach, that would be the dm would contact us. just to ask what happened, we would get told to do better and sell more, but no one ever came in to see that there wasnt any one in the store to sell too! but the store being slow was never an option for an excuse on why we wouldnt make the day. the manager was great with giving us tips and talking to us about making the day, but the upper management that was never in the store would just ask why didnt you make it? tell us that we need to make more money in a day.
