Pros

The people at this company are great. The company actually "walks the walk" in regard to environmental issues. Generally a really good atmosphere to work in.

Cons

The compensation package is very weak for comparable positions. Annual raises and bonuses don't match what was stated in the interview and are low. The only place this is decent is that they provide 6% profit sharing as an annual contribution to 401k. It can be a challenging place for any growth. Since it's a small company there frequently isn't any room for employee promotion or growth.

Excellent staff relations. Superior co-workers. Excellent staff support.

Cons

I worked 5 years at this job - which was a part-time (5-months per year / 40 hours per week) contracted position involving a required OSHA survey. When this position was "sequestered out", there was no other position available for those of us hired for this job.

Strong support for employees, interest in employee growth, well-organized. Most senior employees have been there for 15-20 years or more, and are personally invested in the company's growth and reputation.

Cons

Your work-life balance depends on what team you are on - I had great managers and our team (economic analysis) was fast-paced but the work was manageable. Some other teams had more work than they could handle.
