      Pros

      Eastman has a unique culture that sets it apart from competitors. The people truly do make it a great place to work. Most areas offer a flexible work arrangement that is highly attractive to young professionals.

      Cons

      Though Eastman can sometimes be slow to change, great improvements have been made in the recent past to enhance change management. Great talent and succession plans will be key to fulfilling gaps created by an aging workforce population in the near future.

      The corporate culture at Eastman allows employees to feel empowered. To be as innovative as Eastman is, employees must be allowed to take calculated risks without fear of repercussions if a desired result is not achieved on a first attempt. The opportunity for advancement is abundant for those who show initiative. Effort is recognized and rewarded. Coaching and feedback are provided in efforts to maximize potential and productivity. With such a diverse workforce, Eastman can draw upon a plethora of personalities and experiences. This allows the company to make well informed decisions. Wellness and sustainability are heavily promoted within the company.

      Cons

      As is the case with most large corporations, it can be difficult at times to determine the correct person or department to assist with an issue. Although, most are very helpful and patient, it is often time consuming to find the right person for your situation.

      Largest Employer in the state of Tennessee, at my time of hirering Eastman was noted for their high wage and bonus payout

      Cons

      Today they are not the largest employer in the state and the pay while still good in not the highest in the area.
