Inflated reviews pushed on current employees from management

Pros

Let me start off by saying that I am not a disgruntled past employee who is bitter about being let go because I was not let go. Eastridge higher ups specifically requested current employees to leave a 5 star review, so if you are considering Eastridge please take into account how many reviews are from current employees. I met a lot of great people during my time at Eastridge and I continue to have great relationships with them. I truly wish everyone there the best of luck! Yes Eastridge is giving away a Tesla (possibly 2) to an employee this December, but I will be very interested to see if that individual is really going to be randomly chosen by Bob Svet or if the person will be one of the select few who everyone internally already think it will be given too......We'll see in December!

Cons

Upper management is set in their ways and very outdated, if you do not fit their mold and old school mentality then Eastridge is not the place for you. There was a lot of turnover recently in one of their divisions in OC and that was directly related to the outdated management of those individuals leading the team. Eastridge positions themselves as a caring employer but in the end there is no work/life balance. Communication is a key component to every successful business, but Eastridge tends to over communicate by having several mandatory company wide calls ever week during lunch hours. So for an industry that is already very fast paced and numbers driven, why is it that a company will take several hours out of every employees week to hear upper management speak about the same things? Many believe it's to fill upper managements schedule.

We are always sad to see employees go, especially after 3 years of service. I wish you the best of luck in your career. I wanted to address some of your comments for you and for people reading this review. Obviously, we love 5 star reviews, what company wouldn’t? What we have said to employees is that we need candid feedback to grow. With that said, I have asked for a chance to directly address any issues internally first – seems fair to me. In fact, there seems to be concerns you either did not share or if you did, they may not have been addressed. I would like to ask you to call me directly as I truly welcome your perspective. I appreciate you sharing that we are a caring employer. We certainly try and we are adding lots of resources to continue to ensure high employee engagement. This includes our second annual conference, our new Director of HR who starts in October, our newly promoted Director of Operations in Corporate Support, and the pilot program for 360 degree feedback program on managers. As a service business we try to deliver our best to our clients, candidates and co-workers. One way we try to do this is the company-wide conference calls to ensure communication and collaboration. Those calls are every other Wednesday (not weekly) from 11:30-12:30 pacific time and are used to introduce new employees, share new marketing campaigns, discuss best practices and cover enhancements to our applicant tracking system. I am sorry you did not find these calls valuable, but I have found most employees do, especially new employees. We are all busy and I am thankful for everyone’s hard work. Please know, these calls are not designed to “fill upper managements schedules” (we all have plenty to do) but to help ensure opportunity and enrichment for our team and those we serve. Finally, I wish you had a chance to win a Tesla. Of course the winners will be randomly selected, live, in front of the 250 plus attendees. It is unfortunate if you felt that the winner has been pre-determined. Again, best of luck and I invite you to call me to discuss anything else that may be on your mind.

Pros

At Eastridge, there are countless examples of people starting in entry-level positions and growing into senior executives in the company. Eastridge was my first job after college. In my 7 years at the company, I have grown from an entry-level role to a role with lots of responsibility across different Eastridge services. The company pushes us to be the best version of ourselves. Eastridge is also very entrepreneurial and nimble. It's always reinventing itself, ensuring it's leading the industry. It's exhilarating to see the company expand globally.

Cons

While I'm not sure if I would define the following topic as a con, I've seen a pattern at Eastridge. People who are uncomfortable with rapid iteration and who are not fanatical about customer service are not successful at Eastridge. Eastridge is constantly adapting; inventing new products and services. This creates a whirlwind of activity and opportunity. However, people who prefer to have unchanging routines have a tough time at Eastridge.
