Pros

There are so many reasons to love Eastridge! There’s an entrepreneurial spirit where creativity is encouraged and the management team is committed and dedicated to your growth and development. Working with a team of smart and engaging industry experts, I always feel empowered to deliver my best. There is open communication and a collaborative culture, everyone is approachable, humble, positive, generous, they demonstrate integrity and appreciate potential.

Cons

I love Eastridge, but Eastridge may not be the right fit for everyone. The company is innovative and constantly evolving. We work hard for our clients, candidates and each other, including the company re-brand, building a new website, implementing new software, upgrading technology, providing new training, launching campaigns, opening new divisions, etc. There's also been a lot of growth, internal promotions and opportunities for interdepartmental transfers. The company's growth is strong and its an exciting time to be a part of Eastridge!

Pros

The company and management team is evolving and are open to changing its sales, recruiting, operations, and marketing culture. They are responding to what's relevant in the market and to what is important to employees. I can really see how the management team is trying to lead the change and be positive about it. Although they are taking baby steps, they are realistic steps.

Cons

Let's be honest - CONS will ALWAYS exist. I have written reviews on EWS before and after reviewing what has changed since our rebrand, I'm starting to appreciate it more. That's why I'm writing a new review. The hard part of this rebrand is that employees think that rebranding and change is a 1-step process or SHOULD be a 1-step process. It's not. We're speaking, and management is listening. Now it's our turn to do what we've been asking management to do - LISTEN. I know the calls can be scheduled at an odd time, but if you readjust your schedules, it's manageable. They can seem redundant but they are announcing PROMOTIONS, TRANSFERS, TRAINING...a good portion of what was missing in our company. If you're not open to the change that everyone has been asking for, or you were asking for the change and not doing your part in responding to it, then maybe you should ask yourself if EWS is the right place for you. Another con I can think of is talent management for internal employees. WOOHOO! We have an HR now!!!!!...but you have a lot of work ahead of you. Several employees are comfortable working in their own way and contributing on an average level, and their attitudes affect employees who are giving their all. We need a solid system that can hold employees accountable. I know the system won't be perfect, and you're going to get some negativity from it, but it's going to pay off. Last - again, just to be honest - EWS isn't "THE" place to work, but it's getting there. Employees these days are looking for a workplace that's fun and modern and will give up higher salaries for that type of environment. We're not there yet but I'm hopeful that we will be!

I have to apologize as it has been a while since I have responded to reviews. I cannot thank you enough for your comments. It is real, from the heart, and as important, very helpful. Your assessment of our progress is my motivation - period! As you heard at our annual conference, my personal focus will be on four critical areas - Internal Business Process, Learning & Growth, Customers and Financial. This will be supported by our HR function which will be working on employee engagement, performance management, and hiring/screening/onboarding. Finally, beginning in January, I will be back on the road, visiting all of our offices every 8-12 weeks. Thank you again for acknowledging some of these positive and realistic steps.

I am sorry to hear you had a negative experience with our Manufacturing and Distribution Division. Candidates sometimes feel their time is wasted, if we cannot put them to work immediately . There are many factors dependent on how quickly we can get a candidate to work. A candidate’s location preference, pay requirements, hours available, skillset and flexibility are some of the key factors that come into play.
