Pros

It is easy to get a job in this company.

Cons

So many to list. 1. Management has no directive. 2. Horrible benefits. 3. Pay at least 15% less than competitors. 4. They nickel and dime everything. 5. Stupid core hours. 6. No communication between groups. They made every one in software engineering work 50 hrs/week for almost 6 months for new product release. The product was successful, but the higher management (CEO and president) should have at least sent an thank you email.

Pros

A lot of exposure to many different types of equipment and system configurations. Opportunities to lead RF projects. Employees are generally good people to work with. Will get a lot of hands-on experience on all related RF systems. Will have the opportunity to work with networking, servers, and remote monitoring and control systems engineering.

Cons

Benefits are overall bad and minimal. The 401k is not great either. Standards of operations are lacking for the ESO department. Training is minimal and unorganized. Communication is terrible within the department and between departments. Management refuses to enforce the standards they create and has led to rogue employees and intermediate supervisors. A mountain of paperwork and review process is required before any maintenance can occur. Opportunity for advancement is very minimal. In-fighting between supervisors is performed in the presence of employees on a regular basis. Documentation of systems and projects are often lacking. Change shifts far too often. Office politics are always at work. Generally disgruntled employees and supervisors. Overall, not a good place to have a career. Pay is well below the field average.

Pros

Steady pay checks such as they are, easy to coast through without much effort. Cheap TV. That's about it.

Cons

Read the other reviews and you'll find many that point out flaws in this company. The problem is that the flaws go so deep that no single review can cover them all: Low pay, misguided micro-management, poor benefits, top down dictates, lack of respect for employees (ideas, abilities, careers) by upper management, a corporate culture of continued mediocrity because that's the way we've always done it. The list just goes on and on.
