Constantly had to watch your pennies and make sure you were getting paid correctly. Pay was often difficult to understand and no insight on pay from direct management. Going through changes and creating new positions where field reps will be going after the same sales in order to make incentives just to make what they made the previous year. People coming into Ecolab at entry level will make more than current employees 10/10 times

The pay is very confusing and there has been many errors in my personal compensation that were only found by myself after digging deep and making many phone calls. I'm sure that there were many others that I was not aware of that were essentially stolen from me by Ecolab. You will miss holidays and weekends and will feel like you are always "on call" as you basically are. They will demand extra work outside of your job description and will not compensate you for it. They will serve you the "kool-aid" and tell you what you need to hear until the bitter end to milk everything they can from you. In the end you are only a number here and can be replaced at any point. Not a bad gig when you are in your 20's, but if you have a family you will feel the strain. I feel like they were a great company to work for in the past, but now they just need bodies to fill a spot and it feels like it.
