Pros

As with any large company, you have access to a lot more resources. You are also able to work on a wide variety of big brand name clients. A solid resume builder.

Cons

You work long hours and are not compensated well. Benefits are good, the people are solid, but the salary is low.

Pros

The people are smart and senior management accessible. I worked at Edelman internationally in the mid-2000s, and had a chance to work directly with the CEO. Fantastic opportunity, and I was just an account executive in my mid-twenties.

Cons

Low pay and high turnover. Such is agency life I suppose.

Pros

Unlike other agencies that say they support work-life balance and value their employees as their top asset, Edelman actually does both of these things in practice. Through the actions of middle to senior management, you are truly made to feel valued and appreciated. Opportunities are everywhere and the culture is laid back and fun.

Cons

While there is far less pressure on utilization than other agencies, making for a more relaxed environment (that's not to say we don't work super hard to achieve successes), but the salary compensation does seem lower than market competitors in the area. However, with the environment and culture, PTO and benefits, it balances out.
