Pros

the culture (ice cream Fridays, Lunch & Learns), big-name clients, exciting campaign work and opportunities to move around

Cons

the pay is low for junior staff, while there is somewhat of a "work-life-balance", don't expect to work 9-to-5 as a junior staff.

Thank you for your review. We are thrilled to hear you are enjoying the culture in the Chicago office - it's a great place. And, you're right, it's not a 9-5 job, however I hope that you are still able to find personal balance. If that's not the case, please feel free to discuss with your manager or local HR team. Pros

1. You are surrounded by brilliant, experienced, connected people. The exposure you get to your employees and top tier clients is unrivaled. 2. If you have a good boss, you have a lot of clarity into the promotion process.

Cons

1. It's agency, so it's high pressure and competitive. 2. It can be hard to get promoted.

Thanks for your review. It's always wonderful to hear when an employee is really enjoying his/her colleagues, work and manager. I would encourage you to have on going conversations with your manager about promotion timelines and goals; your manager can provide you with the tools to get there. Thanks for your review. It's concerning that you've observed the quality of an Edelman experience to vary across managers and accounts. We strive to ensure consistency and that our employees have fulfilling opportunities and good managers, especially as we are becoming a more integrated agency where there is ample cross-team collaboration. I would encourage you to discuss your concerns about this with your manager or local HR person, so that they can help find solutions. Maria O'Keeffe, Executive Director; Human Resources
