I genuinely like working as a sub and Edustaff makes that possible (I guess).

Cons

First off is the pay, yes it is decided by the school district. However the company takes 25% and doesn't really do anything. No benefits, if you work for this company might as well make an appointment with DHS because you will be below the poverty line. Plus the Human Resources department is useless. If a student (no matter how young) complains, you get a pre-written email saying that you have been excluded from the school district. You as the professional will not get to give your version of the story or even get a response form human resources.

Pros

Great pay as a substitute teacher compared to other states I have been stationed. I needed career flexibility due to being a part of a military family and EduStaff afforded me the options I needed to be able to accommodate my family's demands. I was knew to the state and it was definitely s great way to get to know people in the community in which I served and resided. I made the decision to work in multiple school districts to learn more about the city and how to find my way around town teaching at the different schools in the city.

Cons

You have to challenge them about pay, unfair investigative practices, and customer service. There were times when staff at EduStaff were less than friendly, but I dealt with it because the good outweighed the few awkward experiences.

EXTREMELY low pay, very few jobs ever available, takes using and paying for an app to actually get a hold of sub jobs in area.
