-Variety of clients -Jeans on Fridays -Daily helping of fruits in office -Summer Fridays can be half day if client work is light

Cons

-Health plans are expensive with high deductible amounts and compensation can be better -NY office is very crowded -Seniors are understaffed -Long hours during busy season January-April. Expect to complete the work of two people -Does not provide corporate cards -Does not have corporate phones for employees -Does not have fitness subsidy program like some of the other accounting firms -Have to provide receipts for meals over $10. Other firms have a higher threshold -There was a time when food was not provided during training

EA suffers from poor leadership, managers, and mentors. The leadership is not focused on career-pathing, talent management, or developing the next generation. Insecure leaders and managers are protected, and members of their teams are blocked from growth opportunities, which ultimately hurts the firm and the clients. While there are some well-intentioned people in management, complicity and an unwillingness to override insecure managers do not demonstrate the courageous leadership that the firm needs. These behaviors pre-date the private equity sale and have only been exacerbated by private equity.

Pros

The company culture is the best thing about working here. Co-workers for the most part are extremely friendly and personable. The company is very welcoming and enjoyable to be around. Also lots of special office celebrations to break up long days/weeks.

Cons

Depending upon your department, room for growth is slim to none. I was in operations so there was not much available as far as advancing in your career. They are trying to grow too fast and started disregarding employees and putting all their attention into mergers. Teams needed to be expanded, or allow your current employees to fill roles and responsibilities instead of pushing them against a wall. A good place to start a career but not good for long-term growth. Compensation/benefits are not great either.
