Pros

The impact you have on families and patients during this time is rewarding. Regional manager is amazing. The BYS program is great for EOL patients and families. Pay is good.

Cons

Branch manager is terrible and lacks communication, accountability and common sense. The sign on bonus will cause them to work you to death, as in 6 days a week against your will, with zero appreciation. They will assign you an intake, recert, all your regular patients, then dump some other incompetent nurse's patient on you when your day is almost up. Benefits are extremely expensive. Retirement is not available until after 6 months of employment.

Pros

The people you work with are really nice and they care

Cons

WAY TOO much driving! Understaffed. Overworked!!! They have you helping out other branches when they aren't able to keep you busy. DO NOT sign any contracts. Try it only PRN then FT if you like it.

Pros

Mission and focus is on delivering excellent care to patients in need. Some good corporate leaders have been brought in to help bring the company forward. Care providers are dedicated to their work and want the best for their patients.

Cons

401k did not pass the IRS' safe harbor/non-discrimination test for HCE(not a new issue - had not passed for multiple years), therefore employer contribution/match was at risk of being forfeited in entirety. An issue that was not disclosed during hiring for those individuals that may have been impacted, and 401k match/employer contribution was highlighted as part of a global compensation package. Zero weeks of paid paternity leave. Some HR practices/decisions were not friendly to employees (e.g. PTO management). Culture had an 'us vs them' feel.
