Pros
ECI is a company that cares deeply about quality. Other firms will rush jobs out the door when they are not ready; ECI would rather be late rather than wrong. Benefits and salary are amongst the best in the industry with an incredible HSA contribution by the company, profit sharing to your 401K, and a yearly ESOP contribution that is more than generous. I left the company around four years ago and am thankful that I got outside experience as it is extremely valuable to see different company cultures. With that being said there were enough positives at ECI that makes me happy to be back. With the right mentorship and direction you will be hard pressed to find a better opportunity than ECI. Recently some great talent has been hired and the future is exciting as the company continues to grow.
Cons
When you are a young engineer it can be hard to find direction. Do your best to find a mentor within the organization and you should be fine. In the past overtime has caused some burnout. On some level this will be highly dependent on who your supervisor is and how they choose to distribute projects. From what I've seen though ECI has heard criticisms on this and has worked hard to establish a better work/life balance for their employees.
