Pros

If you like games you should definitely work here. You get a great exposure to the industry you make great connections here. There are a lot of famous people that come in here both in the gaming and entertainment business. You get to the touch the product that basically ships out close to a 200 million dollar revenue.

Cons

The management sometimes seems to hold a big red tape on what goes on in the game.

Pros

Great benefits. Stock options, medical, time off. As long as you're salaried.

Cons

Very corporate and employees are easily ignored and forgotten. Frequent layoffs. Many temporary employees who do not receive benefits. Low pay compared to other companies in the bay area while boasting large sales. After working hard for a raise and being denied multiple times for years, the building was under constant expensive aesthetic improvements and construction. I just wanted $1k more per year.

Pros

Learning opportunities. They often hire managers that have leadership qualities but no actual games experience, which gives experienced managers the opportunity to break into video games, and diversifies the knoweledge of the management pool. The EA University classes are excellent, though it seems like the course offering are decreasing (budget cuts?). There are a lot of very smart people to learn from and emulate.

Cons

Lack of work life balance. This is given lip service, but the reality is very different from what is preached. They don't seem to value the intellectual property that experienced employees offer, and the resulting high turnover means they are constantly reinventing the same wheel.
