Pros

Obtained varied experience that is translatable to many industries. There is no limit to the amount of overtime you can get with this employer.

Cons

Overtime is abundant, and you will be worked hard due to understaffing to save money. Management at my facility is not approachable and doesn't care about their employees. Management is only concerned with profits and EBITDA. No opportunities for advancement or pay increases. This is a stepping-stone employer; DO NOT STAY HERE FOR ANY LENGTH OF TIME. Its not worth the stress!

Pros

Learn interesting things about testing and ITAR requirements. Meet people from all over the world.

Cons

Very sexist and poor management overall. Women do not have the same opportunities as men, and they admit it! Managers do not want to be responsible for anything that may involve them having to do actual work. Very few exceptions to this as a location and as a company.

Pros

After being in the lab industry for many years I made a move to Elemment. As with most service companies employment conditions can change with the market but Element seems to care about its employees and offer a better package than most of the its laboratory testing competitors. Focused on success in three core test disciplines as apposed involvement in multiple markets that can result in a lack of focus. Staff turnover is low and moral is good, the company is ran by people who know the testing industry rather than people from the financial world who run the business solely by numbers.

Cons

private equity ownership will mean there that there will be changes in the future. This is a service industry which means you have two bosses, the company and your clients both need to be happy for you to progress.
