Pros

The Vacation time is alright

Cons

They do not stand behind their employees, or follow any regulations or union rules unless if suits their needs. I was promised a promotion to a GCW II, and have been filling in the role for the last few months, and haven't recieved my promotion, or pay. I have also applied for a couple of Management positions, and didn't an interview, even though by union rules I was suppose to have one.

Pros

They provide services to all different populations.

Cons

There is very little to no staff support. I received no support from management, middle management and upper management from some issues I was having about my shifts. They would rather sweep issues under the rug and ignore you rather than actually take time to listen and try to help you. Very disgraceful.

Pros

Loved the staff, good vacation benefits, great community to work hard for as there are so many in need in that region, the work itself was great and I enjoyed it very much.

Cons

Senior management doesn't listen and don't seem to really care about their staff. They talk about the value of work / life balance in public gatherings, but then when it comes time to actually try to create that balance, they get pissed and expect their staff to work any hour of any day, to turn right around when you pull into your driveway, regardless of how many hours that person has already worked or what they might have going on in their outside life. They just do not care. Its a shame, because the programs are good ones and the community needs the services. Also, they are very cheap with raises, union staff get small ones, senior managers get big ones, middle managers get nothing... year after year after year, despite the fact that the program made lots of money for the company. Pathetic really.
