Pros

Ellsworth has a great culture with wonderful people. If you are willing to work hard, take initiative and seek to understand and incorporate others perspectives you can have a long, successful career. I have not been handed my career path, but have been given the opportunity to create one. I look for ways to improve current processes and situations, discuss my ideas to gain others feedback and take ownership to drive the changes. As a result I have had the ability to make significant changes to my role(s) and the organization. It is however, up to me to seek out and implement those changes. I personally love that and find it extremely fulfilling.

Cons

If you are looking for a career path to be fully laid out for you, or to simply follow the strategy and direction of others (without putting in some of your own blood, sweat and tears along the way), then this isn't the right company for you. Sometimes team members don't work well together, we have some managers who can be closed minded, and some times change is harder then I would like it to be. However, I've never heard of a company that didn't experience those same issues.

Pros

I joined Ellsworth Adhesives as a graduate and on the whole it has been a great experience for me. In my time with my company, I have formed my own department and have been given a lot of creative freedom in the work I do. I value the trust the management team has placed and I have grown in confidence because of it. I have identified my own training and development needs and the company has been happy to support this, paying for my attendance at courses that will have developed my knowledge and skills. I get on well with the majority of my colleagues and overall it is a pleasant and friendly place to work. I really appreciate the company's health care benefit and the annual bonus scheme.

Cons

At times internal communication can be quite poor, however I would say that the Senior Management Team are aware of this issue and are trying to improve it.
