Toxic UX department

Pros

There are some great people, fantastic work-life balance and you get to work on products that make a difference in the lives of students, medical providers, and patients.

Cons

In recent years, the UX department became toxic. Those in UX Leadership, ironically, are not very empathetic and in some cases can be downright hurtful. There are quotas, unreasonable expectations and very open biases against certain people. It's a shame because other than that, the company was great.
