Pros

I can’t think of any. If anything, this experience taught me to recognize the early warning signs of a toxic workplace and to ask more questions about expectations before accepting an offer.

Cons

Looking back at my experience, the entire process felt misleading to me. During the interview process, all communication was handled by an HR representative using a +1 phone number, which gave the impression that the hiring process was based in the U.S. However, after joining the company, I found that all day-to-day HR and operational communication was managed by team members based in India. They are not in the office, and you can only talk to them via Slack. Think about it. Besides, no one informed me during the interview process that the role would require staying up late regularly to collaborate with the India-based team or working very long hours. I also experienced an expectation that employees should always be available to respond immediately. If the company felt you were not responsive enough, employment could end abruptly without a performance improvement plan (PIP) or a clear explanation. This company is much more focused on extracting as much value as possible from employees while paying as little as possible, rather than investing in their growth, mentorship, or long-term development. Meanwhile, the product (the so-called “AI employee”) is just wrapper of Claude, Gemini, and ChatGPT with prompt engineering layered on top, which is why it never works in production.

Pros

- Crash course in Enterprise GTM. Immense opportunities to learn multiple GTM aspects very quickly; lots of exposure to pretty much every part of GTM - Company is on a high growth path. Great momentum and market demand with well attuned product strategy to claim the market share. - Very high ownership culture, although not for everyone. People who enjoy autonomy thrive.. usually leadership is available to coach if you raise you hand... , you will find it thrilling. However, people used to being managed on day-to-day basis might feel a bit lost. - Company is investing in scaling - so there is opportunity to grow in the role - Strong, smart team to learn from

Cons

- Very usual growing pains of a startup with distributed teams across geos. However, the leadership has recently taken many steps to address these and streamline x-geo collaboration - already seeing improvement
