EPAM eviscerated any kind of culture this place had

Pros

Before the EPAM buyout this place was full of promise, talented people and an almost electric atmosphere. There are still some incredible people left, but if you do anything else than software engineering stay the hell away, and even then I'd seriously consider your options.

Cons

Completely absent management, no clear direction or job descriptions.

No longer emakina.

Pros

There's a good balance of work vs personal time, people working at the company are great & there's certain amount of freedom.

Cons

Since bought by Epam it lost its soul, the company communication is not transparent and news about changes are now approached with secrecy. There is a lot of time being spent on administrative tasks for epam, and in general there isn't the same feeling of a nice and fun agency. The best people are leaving.
