Pros

Growing team consists of all Senior and Principal level talent. Leadership is experienced, accessible, open to new ideas and thoughtful in how they make decisions for the future. Culture is laid back, yet professional. Everyone works hard and self accountability is the bar here. Everyone is genuine, humble, smart, and inclusive. The vibe is very authentic without the corporate shenanigans to force a specific culture. Competitive compensation and great benefits package! Really beautiful office building with a lot of great amenities.

Cons

Moving to a new a location in a few months so the current space is in a bit of a flux, but only temporary and par for the course when you're a growing company.

Pros

The company culture is all about delivering value to clients, building cool software and continually learning new things. We get to use the latest tech, work on lots of projects and work directly with clients. We can also spend a significant amount on self-directed training. The benefits are quite good with dependent healthcare included, dental, vision and group life too.

Cons

The coffee is pretty bad.

Thanks for your review. Yes, Emergent Software sponsors 100 hours of career/skill building activities each year for all employees. This time can be spent on training, attending conferences, researching new tech, building proofs of concept for some cool idea you have, or other activities that build skills related to your role here at Emergent. Our team is our greatest asset (cheesy, but true), and this is one easy way we can invest in strengthening our team over the long-run.

Pros

- The right leaders are in place - Co-workers are all very smart yet humble - Good pay and benefits - Flexible hours and work from home options - The feel of a startup with the stability of a larger company due to partnering with Emergent Networks. - Leadership is actively improving the company - Projects are interesting - The company is growing and people are excited about building a good team

Cons

- Some of the standards and process are different across projects because this is a startup and they're still figuring out the best way to do things - The free coffee is adequate at best

We appreciate your feedback. Continuous improvement is our goal, and defining standards across projects is one area the entire team is focusing on. We also upped our coffee game with the move to our new location, so hopefully getting caffeinated at the office has become a more tasteful experience.
