Pros

Has a strong orientation to sustainability and commitment to the community

Cons

You can easily get stuck with a poor manager; there is no room for 360 degree feedback. If you are paid by a grant, you are likely to get paid way off scale, at a fraction of what the salary scale is for your field.

Pros

Emory is good at what makes money, law, medicine, business. the students are limited, thus you have plenty of resources.

Cons

Gym is too old, although the rest facilities in the PE center are actually good. Seems to be involved into controversial political issues like Dalai Lama.

Pros

It's a prestigious university. Benefits are about average Employer match for 401k is fantastic, but requires you to stay for a long duration.

Cons

Pay isn't great. You have to pay for your own parking, which is ~700/yr It's a university, so there is only so much you can move around as far as career growth.
