Pros
A big company with a small office vibe. Great co-workers working with the best of the best out of college. The perks of the job offset other industry pay scales and the ESOP (employee stock program) is incredible. Tickets to games, lunch with vendors/subcontractors, company gatherings and other perks not found at common corporate jobs. You get to see all projects from estimating through closeout vs. only seeing the pre-construction/post construction process. Most employees get raises annually. 10/10 would recommend working here, especially in Construction Group as a project engineer/project manager.
Cons
Base Pay is lower than other mechanical industries, but offset with the ESOP, bonuses, and other in-company perks. Path to becoming a Project Manager is longer than some others, but the benefit of waiting for a good book and essentially no cap 'commision' (CFA) is unmatched. Depending who you work for you can be granted work from home on some days when needed, but you are expected to be in the office the majority of the time.
