Pros
Being very honest, I loved my job. It was the best I'd ever had. Easy training, with a nice flow. They give you the first portion of training for 6wks, making sure you understand the materials and expectations- then you hit the floor. After a month or so you'll be uptrained for some more advanced calls. Easy to meet the basic job duties& hit above the mark on quality expectations. I was amazed at how understanding and wonderful my first supervisor was- then SHOCKED when I was moved to another team...with an even better supervisor!!! To this day I still consider those two women to be the best part of my ADT Career.
Cons
I believed this was a company I could grow with. I began working for them the day they separated from Tyco. I hadn't been counted puff for the quality of my calls/work in over a year and a half. I thought they appreciated that& valued me add an employee. Not only was I doing my job, but also being held as an example for the quality of my calls. I was proven wrong, or naive if you will. When I suffered an injury& was unable to work my FMLA&Short term disability was quickly approved. However, I did not receive payment for any of my short term disability until two weeks after returning to work. So let me be clear.... I was able to work the first week if December, and was paid the second week of December. Then did not receive any pay whatsoever until the end of February. Which was a check for returning to work the previous week. The following week I received a check for all the weeks I'd been approved for STD. One lump sum.... that was nice& everything. But it would have been nicer for the HR point of contact to at least return my calls. We spoke once during the 2months I was unable to work. Once returning, there were obvious bumps to normalcy, but once those smoothed out I became confident in my job once again. Until I had serious health issues arise& had to one again turn to FMLA to protect my job security... That didn't work, as I was let go two weeks after it was approved. They claimed to be dissatisfied with the quality performance.... which, just to refresh.... had been perfect for over a year and a half- not one mark off&& nothing but "expert levels of service" their words, not mine.
