Pros

Pays more than min wage, but not by much.

Cons

A sales job that no self respecting sales person would take/keep. Good sales people make substantially MORE money for less time. It is difficult to earn more than 12$ an hour. Pay scale is based on the store’s overall performance and not just yours. Aaron’s markets to people who can’t afford their prices and are likely to end in repossession soon after. More repos = poorer store performance = lower pay for the you. Hours are long, 10 hour shifts 5 days a week with a mandatory 1 hour unpaid lunch that you almost always have To work through. Even the coworkers were very aloof and cranky… granted they had to make collections calls all day, can’t say I blame them for being cranky. The aforementioned staff is unreliable, I worked deliveries as well and a huge problem we had were incorrect Addresses, phone numbers, scheduling conflicts etc. I was the only insurable person and thus the truck driver. Very stressful … as my partner was uncooperative, often insulting my driving. In one instance I stepped out of the truck to check how far I needed to back up to leave room for the ramp and he flipped his lid, forcefully taking the keys from me and reversing the truck in himself. The same partner would often not allow me to fill in the paper work at delivery. Its crummy job even as a ‘in between job’ The environment just stinks of negativity, not a place to be if you value happiness.

Pros

All the people I worked with in the store were fantastic people. Everyone helps everyone else and doesn't leave anyone out to dry.

Cons

Management above store level were a nightmare. Easily the worst I've ever experienced. They would change goals often, sometimes within days of having made a change. They would make assumptions about what was wrong without ever actually being in store. They wouldn't speak to ANYONE below the level of a manager to the point of ignoring someone if they greeted them.
