Pros
Due to the lack of communication and support from leadership, those who dont seem to matter to the company (field and office staff) work great as a team together to overcome leadership and provide for the clients
Cons
This was the single most awful work experience of my life. Management treats their staff horribly. Leadership is closed off and unsupportive. The new CEO has been with the company for a year and participates in office gossip like a teenage girl and is physically unavailable to those who do the ground work for the company, claiming to always be in meetings or not on site. The new Owners promised to right the wrongs of previous leadership and emphasize the appreciation they have for the staff that have held on during an extremely uncertain time for the company. They have failed to do this and unfortunately are limited to work within the confines of leadership who was there before their take over. Mental health leadership has no compassion or caring for staff or clients. Mental Health leadership is cold, unsupportive, and disengaged with clinical supervisors, field and office staff. If you are young and not holding a PhD, your seen as incompetent and your knowledge of the field and your job is not recognized. The entire company wide leadership team is looking for "yes men" and discourage and punish those who have been doing the work and have ideas on how to improve and build on current policies. Was given a position that previously 3 people handled during a "resize", i was not trained at all nor given a raise, i was not provided any policies or procedures to follow, i was given no instruction. The entire mental health department was non compliant with DHS statute, something that was corrected in just months time without the people responsible for the correction ever being recognized or thanked for their work. Several single mothers who have or had worked for the company were forced by HR to either reduce their hours (below 40/wk) or they would be terminated even without any previous performance actions, this seems to be company practice. People have been promised their jobs are safe and then terminated just weeks later. Pay has been frozen for years. The company discourages internships or academic pursuits of any kind. Overall, Accurate Home Care runs rampant with false commitments to staff that they will be treated better, things will change, and their voices will be heard after years of abuse and neglect from management.
