The company gives you a lot of opportunities to work over time shifts and participate in a lot of training.

Cons

The stress levels and potential safety issues that arise when dealing with physically aggressive youth is not worth the little bit of money they pay you.

It felt good to make a difference in the kids lives

Cons

Over worked and underpaid for the work. Expected to practically be a therapist without having any real training. The company has overall rules but each individual unit follows their own based on what the director or shift supervisors feels works best. Often times left alone with too many kids to watch for one person to feel safe; overnight or during the day. Company policy of ratio to worker is ridiculous, especially when dealing with a unit with several physically abusive kids.
