Good place to get initial trainings and experience. Ability to interact with managers and staff.

Cons

The current leadership focuses only on the bottom line. The Mission of Adelphoi Village has been forgotten. They financially award those that don't ask questions while the staff that deal with the difficult clients are viewed as collateral damage. Benefits continue to be cut.

It felt good to make a difference in the kids lives

Cons

Over worked and underpaid for the work. Expected to practically be a therapist without having any real training. The company has overall rules but each individual unit follows their own based on what the director or shift supervisors feels works best. Often times left alone with too many kids to watch for one person to feel safe; overnight or during the day. Company policy of ratio to worker is ridiculous, especially when dealing with a unit with several physically abusive kids.
