Pros
Colleagues are mostly wonderful and have a spirit of dedication that senior leadership has not earned and does not deserve.
Cons
I wasn't there very long but from the many conversations I had with long time employees, ARUP has fallen far and fast. I can't even tell you how many times I heard someone say "this isn't the company I loved" or "this isn't who we used to be." (I am attempting to stay vague because management is paranoid and retaliatory.) It's a shame. From what I can tell, it used to be a great place to work. Then the C-suite started focusing on numbers above all else and threw the five pillars of culture and values away. The return to office order has been incredibly unpopular, but it is strictly enforced. They have never produced numbers to show that the staff is more productive in the office, in fact, all the metrics we were given showed incredible growth and they recently had a big party to celebrate reaching $1 billion in revenue. So that must mean they don't understand how to measure employees' worth unless they can see you sitting in a chair 40 hours a week and babysit you to ensure they get their pound of flesh out of you. (Prepare for your arrival/exits to be tracked.) But, if you have extra work and stay late, that doesn't count because extra work is a "perk" of having a job in this economy. They claim to always put patients first and brag about being a nonprofit, but threw a big party for reaching a revenue goal, not for reaching a goal that would benefit patients or clients. That seems telling. They claim to care about the environment, but they make everyone sit in traffic twice a day, burning fuel and polluting Utah's already bad air, to take video calls and attend meetings that have nothing to do with the workload. They claim to care about employees, but morale is at an all time low. The onsite clinic is so booked out that it's useless and the free gym is right near where the sewer keeps backing up, so that's unpleasant. The anonymous internal speak up portal is not anonymous and some who have sent feedback have been fired or harrassed until they quit. As other reviewers said, they are panicking over the low reviews on here and are trying to figure out how to game the system rather than fixing what's wrong.
