Pros

I’m working for Professional services (PS) of Backbase for almost 7 months. Backbase is a relatively young Dutch company, having a truly international feel to it. My talented colleagues hail from no less than 32 Nations from all over the globe. They have had to pass through a stringent hiring process, requiring you to not only be the best in technology, but also have a strong focus on personal as well as professional ethics. I have never seen employees that are so flexible and committed to a company and their colleagues.. The work is quite interesting and thoroughly enjoyable. Working on projects that transcend national boundaries add to the level of excitement as well as satisfaction. To top it all, the top management is very cooperative & accessible There’s a nice work life balance. Fridays are the most eagerly awaited day of the week. Every colleague, including the top managers makes sure they join for an evening of drinks and camaraderie. Not many organisations can boast of such a wonderful mix of serious work and serious fun. From the first day I joined the Backbase family, I feel welcomed, appreciated and belonged. This is not always the case if you work as a freelancer.

Cons

The pace at which the organisation is growing, it is not easy to have well defined processes and practices. Hopefully, with the efforts and focus going in, this will be on track pretty soon.

Pros

One of the best jobs I've ever had. Unfortunately my role got cut due to layoffs but I would have stayed here for years if that weren't the case. Great autonomy to employees, great collaboration, communication and organization. Good leadership.

Cons

Unexpected rounds of layoffs, but it was the case in tech for a while.

Pros

not many exist for sales execs in the US

Cons

lack of product fit in US market, leadership changes direction and strategy often, sales rigor is off the charts (MEDDPICC on steriods, etc)
