Pros

- Good business model - free lunch - great minds

Cons

- management is passive even if they know and understand the problem it won't be fixed - mess everything up and you will still be promoted - a very poisonous environment with a lot of backstabbing - there is a hierarchy on paper but in reality, there is absolutely no such a thing - no chance to grow as a developer without being forced to shift into a management rule - the process in R&D is such a luagh

Pros

One of the best jobs I've ever had. Unfortunately my role got cut due to layoffs but I would have stayed here for years if that weren't the case. Great autonomy to employees, great collaboration, communication and organization. Good leadership.

Cons

Unexpected rounds of layoffs, but it was the case in tech for a while.
