Toxic Environment - Avoid at All Costs - Administrative Barr Engineering Employee Review

If you are not a midwestern white male engineer, this company is not for you. It is toxic and abusive for women, LGBTQ+. and minorities who are not engineering staff. A competitive and bullying environment comes top-down from leadership. Technical staff treats support staff poorly and there's no accountability. There is no room for growth (or even support) if you aren't connected to the good-old boys or related to their inner circle. Their flat structure pertains to all support staff, so you bill your time with weekly timecards even if you're a salaried employee. They're systems are archaic and disorganized, but if you don't log your time weekly, you won't get paid, even if you're exempt.
