When it comes to the marketing department... where to begin. There is an immense (and I mean immense) lack of diversity at Best Egg. If you're looking for POC, you can check out the call centers, but that's pretty much it.
There is also a m-a-j-o-r sense of unease between teams. I have never worked a place where there was so much drama being swept under the rug in my entire life. Managers on teams WITHIN departments don't get a long, it's uneasy during meetings and petty on the floor. Lot's of trash talking behind closed doors, lots of eye-rolling and other nonsense that is exhausting on the spirit. I would sit in my car before starting my day and give myself a pep-talk before heading in, trying to keep my spirits high.
Also, I have worked at successful companies ranging in size, and have never come across a marketing department so messy. When bringing my concerns up to different layers of management, I was made to feel like I was making things up, or as if I was the problem, which was jarring.
There are also way too many meetings where people mosey in with no sense of punctuality and that always start at least 10 minutes late. I was in 3-5 meetings a day, where at least two overlapped in agenda. Most meetings started off where management explained how stressed and hectic their day is and will continue to be. The stress exuded from management and the annoyance and confusion could be read like a book from employees around the meeting room tables.
Just steer clear. This start-up may look great from the outside looking in, but don't be fooled. It's a mess, has no order, and needs to be restructured terribly.
