Pros

401K, Health, Dental, PTO, Company Discount, Upward Mobility

Cons

Excess responsibility on sales persons to handle returns and oversee inter-department customer service. Immense pressure to sell and invite customers in having only the walk-ins you meet, no warm leads. Competitive sales persons contributing to hostile work environment. Toxic, megalomaniacal managers need leadership training. Not enough training on POS before sending new hires onto selling floor. High turnaround rate for all the reasons listed. It is possible to move upward in your time here but you need to play the diva game, and be immune to the stress all these situations accumulate. Hourly employees are just dissociated and on the grind while lifers and people who are “winning” at the commission sales positions don’t seem happy whatsoever.

Pros

*Ability to build Clientele *Discounts on certain items

Cons

*Only concerned with image *Will do anything to cover issues including possible legal situations *No rules apply to top sellers, but if you’re on the newer end, they will throw everything and anything at you *No consideration for disability *Managers take no responsibility for mistakes or mishaps and look for the closest person to blame *Some management doesn’t even do their job, and fully expects you to take over situations that need handling *They have a statement saying they could basically fire if and when they want to, for whatever reason they choose *This company values what dollar signs they see walking in the door, and make a point of that everyday
