Pros

Insurance, 401k, PTO, Holiday Parties, Occasional Lunches

Cons

The pros listed unfortunately are only on the surface and are not the reasons why I wake up to go to work everyday. I was part of their "Sales" department and the biggest complaint that I have with the company is that it's under POOR MANAGEMENT. Here are two examples of what I mean: Lack of Communication - Between Sales Reps and Managers there is a HUGE gap of communication. The managers don't have the same answers to questions that are asked about certain teams, projects, departments, and individuals. This is a problem because it limits the effectiveness of each teams goals and individual functions. It seems like the only time when everyone is on the same page is when they are about to deliver bad news to the people who make all of their money for them. Usually resulting in a commission cut. - They promote incompetent or unqualified people as their Floor Managers, they lack what every SALES manager should do best -- Help their guys close. Their philosophy is and I quote: "You don't have to be a top performing Salesman in order to be a good SALES manager." I shouldn't have to point out the flaws with that statement but you can already guess that they hold true to that statement by promoting people with little to no success in a Sales Career path. They don't even allow their managers the ability to make commission off of their Sales Agents. Why? Because it isn't even a real Sales Floor. It's a CALL CENTER. Useless calls that stream through your phone most of the day that make you act more as a customer service representative/receptionist rather than a true Salesman. So now you can see that the incentive for people to get promoted is to GET OFF THE PHONE and get paid to sit on your butt and crack the whip. THIS IS THEIR LEADERSHIP. I could write a novel of reasons why this company isn't where you want to accelerate your career as a Salesman. But I won't. Hopefully just 2 reasons will be enough to give you a clear picture. This honestly wouldn't be a bad place to start right out of high school, this is a good college job. But that's where it peaks off.

Pros

I’ve had a very positive experience working at Bluehost. The company genuinely cares about its customers and invests heavily in supporting small business owners, which makes the work feel meaningful. Leadership is approachable, transparent, and open to feedback, and I’ve had strong opportunities to grow professionally through increased responsibility, cross-functional projects, and leadership development. The culture is collaborative and supportive, especially across teams. There’s a strong focus on continuous improvement, data-driven decision making, and empowering employees to bring ideas forward. Work-life balance is respected, and flexibility is treated as a norm rather than a perk. Bluehost is a great place to work if you enjoy problem-solving, collaboration, and being part of a company that supports entrepreneurs and small businesses. I’m grateful for the growth opportunities and the people I get to work with every day.

Cons

Like any large, fast-moving company, priorities can shift quickly, and there’s always a lot happening at once. This can be challenging at times, but it also creates opportunities to learn and stretch.
