Pros

When I started at Bluehost I was excited to work for such an amazing company! Opportunities for advancement were good, you worked with great people, and we were customer based. Our customer service was awesome. We get PTO and Vacation, which is nice, and the benefits are quite good. They promote from within.

Cons

Now, we've been sold to EIG, we're a public company, and it's less and less of about actually helping our customers, and more about making sales and recommending products. It's gotten to the point that recommending products determines if you keep your job, which goes against everything Bluehost was about. It's a very dissapointing turn, and now with some things being outsourced to India everyone wonders how long they'll have jobs here. Management is often promoted from within, and while that opportunity for advancement is great, no one is trained on how to be an effective manager, which definitely is a disadvantage to those under the poor managers.

Pros

I’ve had a very positive experience working at Bluehost. The company genuinely cares about its customers and invests heavily in supporting small business owners, which makes the work feel meaningful. Leadership is approachable, transparent, and open to feedback, and I’ve had strong opportunities to grow professionally through increased responsibility, cross-functional projects, and leadership development. The culture is collaborative and supportive, especially across teams. There’s a strong focus on continuous improvement, data-driven decision making, and empowering employees to bring ideas forward. Work-life balance is respected, and flexibility is treated as a norm rather than a perk. Bluehost is a great place to work if you enjoy problem-solving, collaboration, and being part of a company that supports entrepreneurs and small businesses. I’m grateful for the growth opportunities and the people I get to work with every day.

Cons

Like any large, fast-moving company, priorities can shift quickly, and there’s always a lot happening at once. This can be challenging at times, but it also creates opportunities to learn and stretch.
