Pros

It was a pretty good environment for a call center, and a lot of individuals seemed to care about what they were doing. The base pay was great and they offer benefits, even to part-time support employees which is great. The had food for employees and ping pong tables.

Cons

You can feel the corporate environment coming in and beginning to smother the existing culture that Bluehost once had. It doesn't feel quite as personal as I was led to believe, and it was impossible to advance to higher levels of Technical Support as a part-time employee. They did introduce a bonus program for sales as well, but because it was geared towards those working 40 hours per week, it was very hard to ever get a bonus as a part-time employee. Also, in the end, it is a call center, and there is always the pressure to keep call times low, and an ever increasing pressure to sell products as EIG's influence increases.

Pros

I’ve had a very positive experience working at Bluehost. The company genuinely cares about its customers and invests heavily in supporting small business owners, which makes the work feel meaningful. Leadership is approachable, transparent, and open to feedback, and I’ve had strong opportunities to grow professionally through increased responsibility, cross-functional projects, and leadership development. The culture is collaborative and supportive, especially across teams. There’s a strong focus on continuous improvement, data-driven decision making, and empowering employees to bring ideas forward. Work-life balance is respected, and flexibility is treated as a norm rather than a perk. Bluehost is a great place to work if you enjoy problem-solving, collaboration, and being part of a company that supports entrepreneurs and small businesses. I’m grateful for the growth opportunities and the people I get to work with every day.

Cons

Like any large, fast-moving company, priorities can shift quickly, and there’s always a lot happening at once. This can be challenging at times, but it also creates opportunities to learn and stretch.
