Pros

I took the Inbound Marketing Development Specialist role right out of college, and I could not have had a better experience. BrainSell is full of hard-working, intelligent people who are more than willing to help. Unlike a large team, your contributions make a huge difference in the day-to-day, and everyone from sales to the CEO invests time and effort into making sure we all can be the best of our abilities. You are encouraged to be creative and try new things, and it makes the role genuinely fun. Would highly recommend this role and BrainSell in general for anyone looking to grow their skills alongside helpful, caring people, get involved in the tech industry, and develop personally and professionally. In addition, fantastic perks like quarterly all-team get-togethers with remote folks, regular office happy hours and team bonding events, flexible work environment, and unlimited PTO.

Cons

Onboarding process takes a while due to the work we do, expect a solid 3 months to fully get integrated into the role.

Pros

As a small company, each employee has exposure to all the workings of the company, and as a result, each employee has the opportunity to contribute across the board.

Cons

This is not a 9-5 place which doesn't work well for some folks who prefer that type of work commitment.

Pros

At one point in time, they structured the commission breakdown in favor of AEs. They've since scaled it back entirely without increasing base pay.

Cons

- Kept a buyout that was a massive shift to the business secret from all employees (even sales leadership) - Asked employees to leave 5 star glassdoor reviews in attempt to hide from the negative ones that tell the real story - Can't hold down sales hires because their pay is atrocious, their business model doesn't work, and they don't provide proper onboarding - Expect employees to manage hundreds of accounts without providing proper resources - Expect employees to work early mornings and late nights and weekends regularly - still doesn't provide proper employee benefits. As a MA-based company, that should be embarrassing
