Pros

The people here are fantastic. Everyone I work with shares the same vision, seeing themselves a few years down the road when Built has conquered even more of the construction finance space. This goal and the messaging around it from leadership are unchanged since I arrived. There's typically an all-hands-on-deck approach to solving client problems. Very few egos in the room. All levels and orgs available to help solution. Flexible work environment with high expectations that treats you like an adult. If you're ready to crush it, Built is ready to lift you up.

Cons

You're definitely expected to own your role and the work expected. If you're comfortable/excited about that, then this is less of a con and more of a head's up. With the growth the company has experienced, the culture is continuing to evolve and will as more people are brought on. General communication from upper management has been good and is continuing to improve.

Pros

Hard problems. Smart people. We’re fixing real, challenging probelms in real estate. You learn fast, you’re trusted, and the work matters.

Cons

It’s not easy. Ambiguity is constant, the bar is high, and you have to be comfortable figuring things out as you go.

Pros

- pay is good - most ICs are genuinely kind and smart

Cons

I've been here long enough to realize no one in leadership has a plan. No one knows what they're doing. None of them. Built's success up to this point has purely been lack of competition. And as thats starting to change - they're scrambling and doing a "reorg" every 12 weeks and they cut jobs. As other reviews have stated - its usually the loudest person in the room who makes sweeping decisions that effect everyone at the org. I've lost count how many new technologies became "The Standard" because one person thought it would be cool to put on their resume. Then they inevitably leave and the rest of us are stuck maintaining a pile of garbage.
