Pros
bungie has a long history developing some great games. - there's so much knowledge within the studio walls about truly pivotal IPs. top tier talent have gone through here - there is still that esteem to the work they do on Destiny 2 - before COVID i would say bungie was one of the few studios that encouraged cross-disciplinary collaboration - great place on you resume - decent work/life balance since majority of the studio is family-oriented or has families
Cons
- projects are short-sighted, often reactive to the industry trends - people left in charge are only interested in riding out their RSUs and not serving the company's best interests anymore - because of 20% of the company being laid off, morale is very low and there is no end in sight - leadership overcorrects. this causes generally dysfunctional development pipelines when feedback is trickled down and bloats scope - dysfunctional studio = poor advancement opportunities. bungie was great at a time, but in it's current iteration i'm not sure it's doing it's employees nor fans justice. the organization is hurting and as a result no one is getting proper advancement opps
