Pros
+ trial by fire learning, you are on-site with clients immediately + if you can play politics, there is a lot of opportunity for quick title changes + good money
Cons
- being thrown in with the client without much development means you really need to rely on the partner - not much interest in your ideas, but a lot of emphasis on keeping 'butts in the seats' - Not a clear or fair process for career development - HR lacks experience and confidentiality (Run by family of founders) - partners are family members and often the in-fighting runs over into the business - not a place for women to be valued (many young female associates were passed around among the partners and then discarded) - if you are a woman that wants to be seen as an equal contributor, valued for your ideas, encouraged to assert your ideas - DO NOT WORK HERE
