Pros

Great company culture. I have done tech support for AOL, T-Mobile, and Verizon. In regards to the actual job Canon is the best place I have worked for. During non busy times it's a very relaxed job and you usually only have to create cases for newer products which means you aren't typing away on every call. The wireless headsets allow you to get up and walk around and are even encouraged to for exercise. The desks are big and rarely do you have to worry about it being a loud environment. Management really cares for their employees and wants you to succeed. Also the center is only 2 years old and as it grows there will be good job opportunities.

Cons

Compared to previous tech support positions this one pays the least amount. I feel we are very underpaid and if the job started $1.50 to $2.00 more an hour I would enjoy it a lot more. On top of that I was a top performer last year and my pay raise was pretty pathetic. I hear a lot of the tenured reps repeatedly say "Canon doesn't pay well". Also since I started 2 years ago there has been nothing but problems. Every time we have training for a new product there is a technical difficulty (no working wifi) and the training can't be complete resulting in being incompetent when it comes to assisting the customer. Also once they messed on my paycheck and I didn't get reimbursed for a month. A lot of little problems have added up to one bad experience. I do realize that these were my experiences and I don't believe everyone working there shares the same sentiment.

Pros

Remote work is offered M-F. Good benefits. Good job if you enjoy repetitive work. Good work culture. Helpful and friendly coworkers. They make sure to help get new employees prepared for taking the first phone call which can be daunting. It's the only call center job I've worked but people with lots of calls center experience told me that it's more pleasant compared to other call centers.

Cons

They tend to be understaffed. Better make sure you're consistently getting a good handle time because they will get on your back if you don't. They used to do a thorough job of providing in person training but ever since the pandemic the training is exclusively online which doesn't provide all the context necessary for learning how to manually operate certain products. The same goes for employee appreciation which went downhill post pandemic.
