Pros
-Transparent leadership -Great product that solves a real problem -Fair pay -L & D isn't just lip service. They invest real dollars into it. -People don't take themselves too seriously -No one is off-limits for communication (meaning you can Slack anyone and expect to get a response) -Everyone wants to win so everyone is willing to help -The culture is really open. Lots of jokes. Lots of questions. Genuine curiosity -Ton of dog people here -All the tools you need to be successful. Seriously, if there's a need management will spend the money to solve the problem. -Since we have three co-founders, leadership isn't top-heavy. There are a lot of checks and balances in place to make sure this doesn't happen also. -The founders are genuinely really great people and care about employee satisfaction from a personal level. -Documentation and record-keeping here are amazing
Cons
-As with any startup at this stage there are some issues around standardization. Particularly around promotions and a clear path to success. Sometimes people are promoted at random. Sometimes people stay in positions for almost 2 years without a promotion. Leadership is definitely aware of this and making efforts to solve it but it's still a point of frustration for some.
