Pros
This is a call center job, so keep that in mind. I hadn't done a call center job, but randomly decided to try working for a cruise for a while. So here are some positives. -You're going to enjoy your coworkers -The training program is paid, and lasts for a month -The 6 month rookie guarantee, and the 1,000 IT stipend(which, keep in mind, is more like 600-700 after taxes) -It's an easy job for the most part
Cons
-The base pay is very low. Starts at 15 an hour during the first couple months of training, then it drops to 13 an hour. After that, it'll drop to 16,500 a year. -The payroll department was shady about our pay. Often times we wouldn't get the pay that we earned, which made pay day stressful. -The first month of rookie training is great. The second month can be very stressful with rude managers -An overall unprofessional environment. Upper management would often blast music for the first fifteen minutes or so of a meeting, or waste time talking about their dating life. I mostly got the vibe that they were the losers in school who finally have a little bit of money now so they're now 30 and 40+ year old frat bros. You're going to find that the most impressive people in the company are the quietest. Ask them for advice instead. -The software the company uses isn't very modern. And the lead generation system isn't effective. -The trainings all feel more like a high school environment than a corporate one -You're expected to give up your personal life for this job. Management often brags about working until midnight, or losing their partners because of how much they worked.
