Pros

I can't say enough about my coworkers. They are some of the best, most dedicated, and brightest people I've had the pleasure to work with in my career.

Cons

This is just a preamble to a more in-depth review. I just want everyone still working there, and those potential candidates to really think about this. This is a non-profit park. I should qualify that, it is a for-profit for the upper tier of management. It is non-profit for the rest of us. Just so you know, entry level salaries can be in the low 30k range. Management has implemented salary caps. There are no merit increases. Here's the salary (public knowledge) of the three top positions: CEO: 717,055 CFO: 414,499 COO: 347,319* *keep in mind this was FY 2015, he’s been since promoted to COO since then so it’s likely much more Just google central park conservancy IRS990 and the financial year. The most recently available one was 2015. You can see the salaries of all the senior management on here. Down to AVPs. Do you think they gave themselves salary caps like they did for field staff? I don’t think so.

Pros

Great people, beautiful place, rewarding job

Cons

Company prefers to hire outside instead of promoting workers who've been there for 10 years. Needs better pay all around.
