Not the same company I started working for - Team Coordinator City & Guilds Employee Review

Pros

A nice purpose of helping people, lovely people in teams, good flexibility

Cons

Lots of pros like the benefits are now being changed - pension and bonus as an example. A lot of change being managed inconsistently and really low morale in so many teams. It’s clear that some directors cherry pick who they want in their top teams based on who will say yes to their plans rather than who is going to challenge and do what is best for the business

City & Guilds Response

As a purpose driven organisation we are really pleased to see as an employee you feel connected to our purpose as it is at the heart of everything we do. And we really value our people – as you say they are lovely. It’s very disappointing to hear how you feel change has had a negative effect on some employees, we know we have to change to be fit for the future and ultimately deliver our purpose with more impact to more people – but we want to help our people go through these changes and we want to consider their views throughout. We’d really like to discuss this further, so please get in touch at comments@cityandguildsgroup.com.

Pros

Used to be a strong brand with great products to sell to customers and see them succeed.

Cons

Now it's micromanaged with lots of reporting on why every side of the business is collapsing.
