Pros

I thought my salary was ok. Bonus most years. Working for a big name in education and learnng. Up-to-date IT equipment. Modern office although recently sold 1 Giltspur St. Staff canteen, until it was removed. Colleagues who do the job for the right reasons.

Cons

Extremely political and cliquey organisation. Looking back, my boss exhibited bullying behaviour to more than 1 person. Some staff could do no wrong while others picked up on trivial issues. Senior management don't care or bury head in sand when dealing with bullying / HR issues. People seem to get promoted because of who they know / talk the talk. A lot of senior posts filled by people who shouldn't be in them - technically competent but have poor (non existent) people management skills. Many senior managers talk a lot but don't actually say much. Waffle and sound bites! Kindness viewed almost as a weakness. Redundancy programmes every couple of years without fail. Job roles cut so workload builds up on staff who remain. Leads to high levels of stress. Staff taking sick leave due to work pressures. Company is a charity although CEO and senior staff share millions in bonuses - justify it by saying "need to retain top talent" which is self-serving BS. Many people could do the top jobs if given the access and opportunity. Kirstie Donnelly's presentations are like a cross between Alan Partridge and David Brent.

Pros

Used to be a strong brand with great products to sell to customers and see them succeed.

Cons

Now it's micromanaged with lots of reporting on why every side of the business is collapsing.
